1). Shelling Process

The main equipment of Castor Oil mill machinery is sheller, it crushes the peanut shell under the effect of twisting and tearing of insection that on a pair of millstone. This machine adopts high strength alloy steel tooth plate, which has advantages of long using life, good abrasion resistance, convenient maintenance, cheap spare parts, etc. The requests of shelling are: shell in peanut kernel rate is not over 1%, the kernel in shell rate is not over 0.5%.

2). Cleaning

Cleaning process is very important for pretreatment process of castor oil mill machinery. The bigger materials maybe will wedge into the equipments to block the raw materials, this will corrupt the equipments which will shorten the using life and lower down the working efficiency. Therefore, it needs cleaning screen to remove the big impurities, using magnetic separator to remove the metal things.

The cleaning sieve always use vibrating sieve, it means the screen is taking advance and return movement in the working time, the cleaning efficiency is very high and works reliable. 3). Specific-gravity Stoner

This machine is used to separate the side by side stone from the seed, according to the different specific gravity and suspending speed, the side by side stone will fall at bottom, and under the function of stoning plates, the stone moves to the stone discharging port. While the castor seed at the upper floor will flow to the groundnut discharging port under the self-supporting effect. The machine has the features of strict structure, good dustpoof effect, and high stoning ratio, etc.- See more at:

4). Crushing

The purpose of crushing in Castor Oil Extraction Plant is to crush the seed into small granules, which will be easy for flaking process to destroy the oils and fats cells, which can provides conditions for high oil pressing efficiency. Assembled with alloy tooth roller which using life is one time longer than common rollers. 5). Flaking

The purpose of flaking is to destroy the seed cell’s cell tissue which can make the oil separated smoothly. Also the flaking machine assembles alloy roller which using life is 1 time longer than common roller and also assembles automatic hydraulic roller tightening system to ensure the average thickness of flakes(≤0.3mm), the whole machine is sealed well.


Adopts layer type cooking pot, the max distance between mixing wing and bottom of pot is 5mm for each layer, which avoid the nonuniform of raw materials. The whole pot is wholly sealed to keep the max humidity of the space of raw materials, to reach the best flaking effect and reduce the powder degree.

7). Pressing

Adopt domestic mature oil presser which specialized for castor, the oil residue in cake after pressing is around 5-8%, the most advantages of this machine are one time pressing, low energy consumption, low floor space, etc.

8). Filtration

Adopts automatic slag discharging filter to avoid the trouble of human cleaning the cloth, which has high efficiency, the oil residue will return for pressing automatically, also this section assembles slag extractor to ensure there are minimum oil residue in crude oil to guarantee the following degumming effect.

—Process description of castor oil mill machinery plant:

1). Solvent Extraction Procedure

The castor cake of castor oil extraction plant gets into the extractor through feeding scraper, the materials run a circle from the feed inlet to discharge outlet in the extractor. Spraying the extruded rice bran with the concentrate diminishing miscella between the feed inlet to discharge outlet. Then before getting into the drain off section, spraying again with fresh solvent, the drained wet meal discharges into the wet meal scraper from the extractor’s discharge grid through kick-out device. The concentrated miscella gets into the two-stage hydrocyclone from the pump, to remove the powder impurities, finally get into the miscella tank.2). Desolventizing procedure  The solvent contain wet meal that from the extractor are sent to the DTDC desolventizer’s pre-desolventizing layer by scraper through air locker, the bottom is heated by indirect steam to remove part of solvent; then the pre-desolventized wet meal get into the desolventizing layer, there are automatic control on the desolventizing layer to keep certain thickness of materials, then the bottom gets into the direct steam to remove all the solvent, at same time some steam condense in the meal, the moisture content of meal will sectional rise.The desolventized meal falls onto the drying layer quantitative through rotary valve, the drying layer keeps certain materials level, then process the drying procedure, after drying get into the cooling layer to lower down the temperature, finally discharge the finished meal through automatic flow controlling gate, then though the scraper to transport the meal to warehouse.

3). Evaporation Procedure

The miscella gets into the first long tube evaporation pass from the miscella tank, the evaporated solvent gets into the evaporation condenser through separation chamber, there are liquid level controlling device on the separation chamber’s outlet pipeline to keep the liquid seal, the miscella that after first evaporation concentration gets into the second long tube evaporator for evaporating process. The shell pas is heated by indirect steam, the evaporated solvent vapor gets into evaporation condenser through separation chamber, there are liquid level controlling device on the separation chamber’s outlet pipeline to keep the liquid seal. The miscella of gets into the stripping tower’s disks from the top of the tower, then fall down layer by layer, meanwhile jet direct steam from the bottom of tower to remove the residue solvent.  The top exit of castor oil extraction plant connects evaporation condenser, the high vacuum jet pump keep the stripping tower working at negative pressure condition, also there are liquid level controlling device in the bottom of stripping tower to keep the liquid seal and steady flow quantity of product oil, the crude oil are extracted out from the bottom of tower through extraction pump, after cooling then get into crude oil tank.

4). Solvent condensation and water separation procedure

The liquor condensate that from evaporation condenser, energy saver condenser and steam stripping condenser is collected together then through recovery pump to inject them into water segregator. The end condensed steam enter into the energy saver condenser, the energy saver’s liquor condensate and first evaporation shell pass’s liquor condensate get into the water segregator directly. The free gas of energy saver condenser,tripping condenser, water segregator and solvent library together enter into the final condenser, the end steam from final condenser is absorbed by paraffin recovery device.The solvent phase of water segregator flows into solvent library for partial recycling, the water phase discharged into steam tank, the direct steam gets into the steam tank from the bottom to evaporate residue solvent, after this the water phase discharged into water seal tank.5). Tail gas absorption procedure

The non condensed vapor from extraction evaporator, DT evaporator, oil stripper, cooking pot, water segregator and underground solvent tank, get into the final condenser for recovering the solvent, the non condensed vapor from the final condenser gets into the mineral oil recovery device, the free gas are discharged into air through fire barrier.Technology Highlights:—Mixed oil adopts two levels process in removing impurity, dense mixed oil firstly into primary rotary liquid separator to remove larger particles, and then enter the secondary rotary liquid separator to remove impurity. After rotating liquid separation, the mixed oil nearly without solid impurities. After separation, the cleanermixed oil into the mixture oil staging tank for further precipitation, the bottom sediment of the mixing tank back into the extractor regularly by slag pump. Two process filter of the mixed oil and the use of negative pressure evaporation process, greatly reduce fouling in evaporation system, and evaporation system cleaning cycle can be extended. —The secondary steam in the condensed water tank can be used for waste water preheating, reduce the steam consumption. —Adopting micro negative pressure process, save steam and reduce energy consumption.—Collection all the steam in the extraction workshop and pump into the boiler room for secondary use, effective utilize the waste heat, saving workshop production water.

—Technology description of castor oil mill machinery extraction plant:  

1). Degumming Section

The solid impurities in crude oil will be removed by bag filter, and measured accurately by mass flowmeter, and then enter the degumming workshop to remove the colloidal, the crude palm oil heated will be ex-changed the heated, it will be fully mixed with phosphoric acid, the mixture will react in the acid tank. After the reaction, the alkali liquid will be added in, the partial neutralization reaction will be done here, and then the colloidal, starch and other impurities contains in oil will be separated out.All temperature in the whole degumming process is automatic control and adjustable, and all operations can completely achieve in control room.

2). Decoloring Section

The decoloring section adopts 50 tons/day device. The degummed oil will be pre-heated by the deodorization refined oil, then it will be heated and enter pre-mixing tank. Meanwhile, the clay which is measured by metering device directly in clay tank, and then the measured clay will be added to the pre-mixing tank. After a fully mixing, the mixture of clay and oil will be sent into the decoloring tower, the color will be removed here. The decolorization reaction in decoloring tower will last about 30-60 minutes.Then the mixture will be pumped out and filtered by Armagh filter, the waste clay will be separated from the oil. The residue clay particle will be firstly filtered by the precision filter and then go into the gassing evolution tank to remove the moisture and volatile matter. The whole decolorization process temperature is self-control and adjustable. The filtration system has achieved the feeding oil automatically, circulation, filtration, baked cakes, slag and other operations by manual implementation .

3). Deodorization Section

Gas substances from the decolored oil from the decolorization section will enter the deodorization section to remove the free fatty acids and unpleasant gas. All of this will be removed under the high vacuum circumsatnces by the deodorization tower. Using the to remove these substances by steam under high vacuum conditions. The removed fatty acid from castor oil refining machine will be collected by the fatty acid trap and pumped into the receiving tank, this later will be used as vice products.
